Principal Athletic is an independently owned strength and conditioning gym in Colwick, Nottingham, offering fully coached and fully programmed group training classes designed to help you get fitter, stronger and more confident.

Principal Athletic exists because we wanted to create a place where people in Nottingham can train hard and make real progress but also have fun with it. Not super serious, no egos, just effective programming, great coaching and an environment that you actually enjoy turning up to every day (no more of that early morning gym dread!).

We welcome everyone to our gym in Colwick, whether you’re a complete beginner, or an experienced lifter, you’ll be supported through structured training blocks, progressive programming and classes that keep you improving week after week.

We’re incredibly proud of the community we’ve built here. We serve members from Colwick, Netherfield, Carlton, Burton Joyce, West Bridgford and the rest of Nottingham. We are friendly, welcoming, and full of people who want to get better together.
