Principal Athletic is an independently owned strength and conditioning gym in Colwick, Nottingham, offering fully coached and fully programmed group training classes designed to help you get fitter, stronger and more confident.

Principal Athletic exists because we wanted to create a place where people in Nottingham can train hard and make real progress but also have fun with it. Our effective programming, great coaching and community will help you stay consistent and actually enjoy turning up to the gym every day.

Whether you’ve come from a CrossFit or functional fitness background, a commercial gym and looking for something more, or you’re completely new to strength training - all of our classes are scalable and designed to meet you where you’re at meaning you’ll make progress, no matter where you are starting from.

We’re incredibly proud of the community we’ve built here. We serve members from Colwick, Netherfield, Carlton, Burton Joyce, West Bridgford and the rest of Nottingham. We are friendly, welcoming, and full of people who want to get better together.
