CLASSES

OUR CLASSES

Our coach led classes are designed to help you get fitter, stronger and more confident in a supportive environment.

We have three signature classes on our timetable that combine strength training, conditioning and skill development, with workouts that can suit a wide range of abilities - from complete beginners to experienced members.


If you’re new to training, our coaches will guide you through each session and help you get started with confidence.

ATHLETIC

Athletic is the bread and butter of what we do at Principal Athletic in Colwick, Nottingham.

It is our signature strength & conditioning class and typically consists of a warm up, structured strength or skill work followed by a coached workout.

Our classes follow a structured programme working on different areas of athleticism, designed to build all round general fitness.

Everything is coached and scalable to your level, whether you’re brand new to training or looking to push your training further.

The group environment makes sessions enjoyable whilst still helping you see real, measurable progress over time.

FITNESS

Fitness is a firm favourite on our timetable with our members. The class is an interval style workout which is typically 30-45 minutes long and in a team of 2 or 3 (sometimes 4 depending on the workout!) with a focus on building aerobic capacity.

During a fitness class, you will usea range of equipment including the machines and free weights like dumbbells, kettlebells or barbells as well as running. All of the movements and workouts are coached and can be scaled to any fitness level.

Most importantly, Saturdays generally finish with coffee with the PA crew (optional of course!).

PHT

Principal Hypertrophy Training (PHT) is our fully-coached strength programme built around structured & progressive training that is designed to support long term development in strength & hypertrophy.

Sessions focus on movement quality and appropriate load progression, with individual guidance to ensure training is both effective and sustainable.

Like all of our classes, it’s suitable for a range of experience levels and works well whether you are new to strength training or experienced and looking to train with more direction and consistency in a supportive environment.
